Sultan Tarlacı


 

Sultan Tarlacı was born in Rize in 1970. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine with honors in 1995, becoming a medical doctor, and obtained his specialization in Neurology from Ege University in 2000.

He received the Research Incentive Award from the Brain Research Association in 2000, the TÜBİTAK-Brain Research Association Research Incentive Award in 2001, and the Sedat Simavi Health Sciences Award from the Turkish Journalists Association in 2003. In 2014, he was honored with an award by the NeoCortex student community, which brings together health sciences students, including medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine, under the same social umbrella and guides them towards scientific research.

He is the founder, namesake, and editor-in-chief of the International NeuroQuantology Journal, which began publication in 2003 and addresses neuroscience and quantum physics. The journal was accepted into international scientific databases (SCI, SCI-E) in January 2008. It continues its regular publication in its 15th year under his editorship. A book titled "NeuroQuantology" related to the subject has been published abroad (Nova Publisher., 2014).

He has published over 40 research and review articles in SCI journals on neurology, neuroscience, and neurophilosophy. These articles have been cited nearly 1000 times in foreign sources.

He participates as an invited speaker in many TV programs on neuroscience, the brain, cognitive sciences, frontier sciences, altered states of consciousness, and behavioral sciences.

He has a book titled "Acil Nörolojik Hastalıklar" (Emergency Neurological Diseases) (2004/2008) related to neurology. In 2014, his novel "197 Gün" (197 Days) was published. His popular science books include "ÖlümSözlük" (DeathDictionary) (2016), "Schrödinger’in Kedisi Neden Şizofren Oldu?" (Why Did Schrödinger's Cat Become Schizophrenic?) (2017), and "Mağaradan Mars’a" (From Cave to Mars) (2017).
