The study was conducted on five axes:

  1. Addiction and Impulsive Behavior Working Group
  2. Childhood Experiences Group
  3. Behavioral Motivation Group
  4. Emotion Regulation Group
  5. Chemical Addiction Group

It shows current chemical and behavioral addiction data in the Turkish population and the prevalence of sociodemographic - psychological risk factors. The results of this research, which also allow for geographical regional comparisons regarding the prevalence of smoking and alcohol use, provide important information for policymakers.

It is very important to work on preventing the use of addictive substances and the spread of behavioral addictions that lead to impairment in an individual's functioning and relationships with their environment in society. Thus, the individual and societal problems caused by these substances and behaviors can be minimized. Like our previous study, this study is the most comprehensive addiction research conducted in our country during the Covid Epidemic.
