Zülfikar Özkan

Zülfikar Özkan was born in Gümüşhane in 1952. After graduating from Gümüşhane High School, he graduated from Erzurum Education Institute in 1972 and Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1978.

He completed his master's degree with the thesis titled "Urbanization of Turkey" at Istanbul University (1980), and his doctorate at Istanbul University with the thesis titled "Causes and Consequences of Divorces in Turkey" (1989).

Özkan worked as a teacher and a lawyer. He then worked as a lecturer at Marmara University School of Physical Education and Sports.

Özkan, who continues his duty as a faculty member at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at Üsküdar University, has published about 11 works. Zülfikar Özkan also has numerous articles and research published in various scientific journals.

Özkan is the father of two children.
