Rüştü Uçan

Born in Kars in 1956. He completed his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University. He started his professional life at Isparta State Engineering Academy in 1979. He worked as a lecturer at Yıldız Technical University between 1981 and 1992. He held various positions in the private sector until 2009.

Between 2009 and 2014, he served as the Coordinator of the Occupational Health and Safety Graduate Program, Head of the Associate Degree Department, and Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Course at Istanbul Okan University. He currently holds the positions of Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department, Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Master's Program, and Director of the ÜSGÜMER Center at Üsküdar University. He is also the president of the MESKA Foundation (Foundation for the Prevention and Research of Occupational Diseases and Work Accidents), the first foundation of its kind established in Turkey. He founded and has been publishing the OHS Academy journal for 4 years with our university's faculty members.

He has 5 previously published books, articles, and papers on occupational safety.
