Occupational Health and Safety Thesis Collection (2015-2021)

When we founded Üsküdar University in 2011, among the departments to be opened in the Faculty of Health Sciences, we also added the Department of Occupational Health and Safety to train qualified occupational safety professionals. Thus, we became the second foundation university in Turkey to open an OHS department. During the same period, we were among the first five universities to open a master's program under the roof of the Institute of Health Sciences. Following the passing of Prof. Dr. Hilmi Sabuncu, with whom we worked during our university's founding process, we appointed Dr. Lecturer Rüştü Uçan to head these departments and the research center in 2014. On this occasion, I wish God's mercy upon our professor, Prof. Dr. Hilmi Sabuncu.
As a first in our country, we established the Occupational Health and Safety Laboratory and its practical field, and strengthened the computer laboratory with programs used in the field.
Upon examining this collection prepared by OHS Department Head Dr. Lecturer Rüştü Uçan, it is observed that the 221 master's theses brought together many different topics in a multidisciplinary manner. This work will serve as a guide that will facilitate researchers in OHS or those needing information on a specific topic in the field to access the publications they need among the theses. Furthermore, our student profile has been examined with detailed statistical analysis.
This will help us in determining the route we will take to be more beneficial in the future.
