Barış Metin

Born in 1980. Graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine as a medical doctor in 2004. Started neurology residency at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology in 2004 and received his neurology specialization in 2009.

Between 2009-2013, he worked as a research assistant and doctoral student at Ghent University in Belgium. During this period, he conducted neuroimaging studies related to attention. He received his PhD in Psychology in 2013. In 2013 and 2014, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University with a scholarship from Ghent University research funds. In June 2014, he started working as an Assistant Professor at Üsküdar University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and as a Neurologist at NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital.

His scientific interests include attention and memory disorders, functional neuroimaging, epilepsies, and electroencephalography.
