Dementia Guide
The incidence of dementia is steadily increasing with the aging population, and dementia is becoming one of the significant health problems worldwide. The disease profoundly affects not only the individual but also the family and society. Besides creating serious limitations in an individual's daily life, it also imposes a significant burden and stress on family members and caregivers. Due to Turkey's family structure and traditions, close contact between dementia patients and their family members is unavoidable, making the caregiving burden on families felt more acutely compared to other societies. A large majority of the difficulties encountered in dementia can be made more manageable through the caregivers' accurate understanding of the condition. With this book, we aimed to provide a resource that includes informative and practical suggestions, especially for the relatives and caregivers of dementia patients.
