VII. Symposium on Problems and Proposed Solutions in Occupational Health and Safety in Turkey

The issue of occupational health and safety is gaining importance with each passing day. Occupational health and safety experts have been undertaking duties in various sectors and professional fields in Turkey, particularly over the last fifteen years. Following the definition of occupational health and safety as a professional field, associate, undergraduate, and graduate degree programs have also been opened in universities. Üsküdar University has taken a pioneering role among educational institutions in opening associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs with the aim of both training professionals in this field and contributing to the development of academicians.

The Department of Occupational Health and Safety, operating within the Faculty of Health Sciences, is not only training professionals for the field but also undertaking significant projects. Through scientific events organized within the department, efforts are made to inform relevant public sectors in the field of occupational health and safety and to raise awareness of the issue in various sectors and in society.
