Abdulhakim Beki


ABDULHAKİM BEKİ BIOGRAPHY

 

Born in Bingöl in 1968. He graduated from Erciyes University Faculty of Theology in 1991, completed his master's degree at Erciyes University in 1994, and his doctorate in Sociology at Sakarya University Institute of Social Sciences in 2009.

He worked as a teacher at the Ministry of National Education between 1991-95, and as a lecturer at Erciyes University Faculty of Theology between January 1995 and October 2001. He held managerial positions at Ümraniye Municipality between October 2003-2008. After working in the Social Services department at Bingöl, Istanbul, and Istanbul Cerrahpaşa Universities, he started his position as an Assistant Professor Dr. in the Department of Social Services at Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences in 2018 and continues to hold this position.

Beki has served in academic and administrative positions such as Vice Head of the Department of Social Services, Head of Department, Faculty Board Member, Faculty Executive Board Member, and Assistant Dean. Some of his works include:

In addition to the books mentioned above, he has book chapters, papers, presentations, conferences, and articles in the field of Social Work, particularly on spiritual social services, local governments, human rights, poverty, aging, home care, social work with children, and civil society organizations.

Beki is married with three children and speaks Arabic.
