Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication 10th International Communication Days “Digital Capitalism and Communication Symposium” Proceedings Book
The International Communication Days were held for the tenth time this year. Renowned scientists, researchers, and media industry professionals from around the world participated in the symposium held under the title Digital Capitalism and Communication. Approximately 350 academics from 81 universities in Turkey and from different countries came together at the symposium, creating a wonderful academic environment. The International Communication
Days, with its increasing participation every year, has taken its place among Turkey's most prestigious academic events in the field of communication sciences and social sciences.
In the presentations made at the symposium, communication sciences were discussed in many different aspects; the structure of media within the capitalist system was evaluated in various dimensions. The orientations of media political economy in today's digitalizing world and its societal and cultural impacts were discussed in detail. Important assessments were made on how artificial intelligence will affect the future of communication sciences. The effects of digital technologies on media and the future structure of the media sector were discussed in detail. Significant views were presented on the possible future transformation of traditional media with digitalization. Evaluations were made on how digitalization will affect human and social life, particularly focusing on communication. With all these references, the views and suggestions put forward the 10th International Communication
Days, Digital Capitalism and Communication Symposium is considered to have made a significant contribution to the field of social sciences and communication sciences.
The main reason for the symposium, hosted by Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication, to become such a high-quality academic event is the teamwork and dedicated effort of the Faculty of Communication's academic and administrative staff. With the support of our colleagues both domestically and internationally, the symposium has become an internationally recognized event. We worked shoulder to shoulder for years in the preparation of the symposium's TÜBİTAK support processes and in all stages of the organization. As a result, such comprehensive and continuous organizations require great effort and work, and therefore can only be realized with a strong, knowledgeable, and dedicated team. We, as the Faculty of Communication and Üsküdar University, demonstrate that we are a strong and successful team with our International Communication Days event, which we have been holding without interruption for 10 years.
In conclusion, I would like to express my gratitude once again to all my colleagues and peers who were directly involved in the organization and who supported the symposium by acting as reviewers, presenting papers, and chairing sessions. To many more great organizations together.
