Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication 10th International Communication Days “Digital Capitalism and Communication Symposium” Book of Abstracts

The tenth International Communication Days were held this year. Renowned scientists, researchers, and media sector professionals from around the world participated in the symposium held under the title Digital Capitalism and Communication. Approximately 350 academics from 81 universities in Turkey and from different countries came together at the symposium, creating a wonderful academic environment. With its participation increasing every year, the International Communication Days have secured their place among Turkey's most favored academic events in the fields of communication sciences and social sciences.

The International Communication Days/Digital Capitalism and Communication Symposium was held with approximately 65 sessions. The event, which lasted for three days, included invited speaker sessions, panels, and a round table discussion. In the presentations made at the symposium, communication sciences were examined in various aspects; the structure of media within the capitalist system was evaluated in its various dimensions. The trends in the political economy of media in today's digitalizing world and its social and cultural impacts were thoroughly discussed. Important assessments were made on how artificial intelligence will affect the future of communication sciences. The effects of digital technologies on media and the future structure of the media sector were discussed in detail. Significant views were presented on the possible future transformation of traditional media with digitalization.
Assessments were made on how digitalization will affect human and societal life, focusing on communication. With all these references and the views and suggestions put forth, it is thought that the 10th International Communication Days, Digital Capitalism and Communication Symposium has made a significant contribution to the fields of social sciences and communication sciences.
