We can call this book a war edition. Those who consider the difficulties during the war will excuse the book's shortcomings. There was no paper, and it was very expensive... Printing was also expensive... Then there was the difficulty of departing from the style and terms we were accustomed to... And the necessity of preparing a textbook for students before the academic year began... All of these and the corrections were to be borne by the author alone... These are sufficient excuses.

We understood the need to provide students with a book that was as short and easy to read as possible better from year to year. In the face of such necessities, this third edition of mental illnesses came into being. We have added new topics of the rapidly advancing psychiatrie in recent years to this small book, and we have changed the old ones according to the understanding of the time. I believe it will be less flawed if we succeed in a new edition after the war.
