The state was trying to provide social protection to these children who had been placed under state protection by court order, but as a sense of family could not be provided, no results were achieved.

As a result of close observation and case follow-ups by the Üsküdar University team, we determined that these children were victims of multiple traumas and that their brain functions were impaired to the extent requiring medication. We concluded that social, individual, and vocational rehabilitation would not yield results without medical treatment. For this reason, we prepared a package that included clinical treatment. A team of 36 psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, child development specialists, and psychiatric nurses, including a ministry representative, worked for a year.
