Beyond a Materialistic Worldview

Today, science and its largely unexamined philosophical assumptions dominate the world. These assumptions are associated with a mechanistic and materialistic worldview, where humans are seen as complex biological machines lacking free will and living in a purposeless universe.

The Galileo Commission Report seeks to bring this issue to public attention and to find ways to expand the scope of science so that it is no longer limited by an outdated view of matter and physical reality. It also aims to demonstrate that evidence suggesting remarkable human experiences, particularly consciousness, can transcend the brain, is discoverable and reasonable.
