A Dialogue Between Master and Disciple
Questions That Stay with Us Throughout Our Lives
From the very moment it comes into existence, the human mind is shaped by countless questions. While minor questions arising from everyday curiosity are quickly answered and relegated to the back shelves of memory, questions such as “Who am I?”, “Why am I here?”, “Does the universe have a purpose?”, “Does everything come to an end with death?”, “Where do dreams come from?”, and “Is it possible to know the future?” withstand the passage of time. Although these questions, growing increasingly complex with every attempt to answer them, may lead us into profound emptiness and loneliness, they also awaken one of our most fundamental human needs: the search for meaning. Throughout history, art, science, philosophy, and religion have all taken shape as manifestations of this very quest. Human beings have painted pictures, composed music, created mythologies, conducted experiments, developed theories, and prayed. They have sought to find meaning in a place, an object, an idea, or an experience.
The book you hold in your hands is a personal response to these great questions. Drawing on the knowledge I have accumulated over the years in neuroscience, quantum physics, philosophy, and the human psyche, and weaving it together with my own life journey, I have sought to present my thoughts without unnecessary verbosity, through clear questions and answers that are as lucid as possible. My aim has not been to offer you absolute truths, but rather to provide an intellectual compass to help you discover your own answers. For some questions deepen the more they are asked, and the deeper they become, the more profoundly they transform us.
In this work, I have explored a wide range of subjects, including the nature of the self, the nature of the universe, consciousness and its altered states, the inner workings of mysticism, the meaning of dreams, intuitions that transcend time, extrasensory perceptions, psychic experiences, the phenomenon of mind control, children who recount memories of past lives, the reality of death, near-death experiences, and existence beyond death. I cannot claim to have exhausted all possible questions; indeed, I may even have awakened new ones in your mind. Nevertheless, I hope to have opened up new horizons for your thinking.
For existential questions are timeless; they are seeds of thought embedded in the very essence of being human, forever waiting to take root and flourish.
Do you have any other questions?
