7th International Communication Days Communication Education Symposium in the Digital Age Full Text Proceedings

Digital technologies have started to show their effects in all aspects of human and social life. Moreover, it is possible to say that today's world is in a digital revolution. This situation became much more evident with the Covid 19 pandemic. With the pandemic, almost the entire world suddenly became online in many aspects of life.

In recent years, we have already been witnessing the increasing use of digital technologies in the education sector. With the advent of the internet, an evolution towards online learning had begun in the field of education. In the world, especially in developed countries – and Turkey is among them – some educational institutions were already using online education as a reinforcing element.

As Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication, we decided to organize a comprehensive symposium based on the idea that communication education in the digital age should be discussed in its various dimensions. Thus, we determined the title of this year's International Communication Days, which has been held uninterruptedly for seven years, as Communication Education in the Digital Age.

We were very pleased that the symposium attracted the interest of expert academics and professionals in the field, both from Turkey and from various countries around the world. Throughout the three days, developments related to communication education and the communication sector were discussed in various aspects during the symposium, which was held in a total of 35 sessions.
