2019 Fuat Sezgin Year

Fuat Sezgin is a Turkish-Islamic professor of science history who proved to the whole world the contributions of Islamic science and technology to all sciences, and made unique contributions to his field. According to Fuat Sezgin, the history of sciences was formed by taking Western-based sciences, almost ignoring the sciences of the Islamic world. For this reason, a perception was created that the Islamic world had no scientific contribution. Fuat Sezgin, with his studies, proved the place and value of the Islamic world in all sciences. He proved that the Islamic world has critical importance in the formation or development of sciences. Fuat Sezgin, with his studies, eliminated the perception that Islamic societies had no scientific contribution and their weak stance in the scientific field. He ensured that the Islamic world achieved the respect it deserved in the scientific field.
