2nd Multidisciplinary Neurodegeneration Congress Book

Neurodegeneration is one of the most intriguing medical topics worldwide. Especially in recent years, the new frontier of science has been identified as the "brain". Studies to be conducted in the field of the brain are a field that promises inspiring studies that will open horizons in the treatment of many diseases. Due to this characteristic, we, as a university, have identified this field as R&D.

We chose this concept as a theme when establishing Üsküdar University. NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital, for example, is a part of this. It supported us in practice. We have initiated studies on neurogenetic research and stem cells. In all of these, we aim for the following: We work in multidisciplinary fields where neurosciences, behavior, and psychology sciences come together. When our university was first established, we opened computer and software engineering and bioengineering departments in the first year and graduated students. Our graduating bioengineers became sought-after professionals in the market and found jobs. We prioritized this field because we foresaw it as a profession of the future, and young people saw its benefits.
